Potholes, signage and lining issues as well as debris on the road and fly tipping should be reported directly through the My Wilts App. Please follow the link Wiltshire Council Booking and Reporting.   If you have highways issue that concerns the Police,  please call 101.

If parishioners have specific requests regarding highway improvements they should, in the first instance, raise the matter in writing with the Parish Clerk.  The issue can then be formally added to the an upcoming agenda.  If the Parish Council agrees to support an improvement the Clerk will then submit a request to the LHFig group which meets quarterly.   The long process of costing a scheme and getting final Parish and LHFig support then commences.  It can take as long as 24 months from an idea being pitched at a Parish Council meeting to Wiltshire Council carrying out the works.  LHFig meetings are almost always attended by a member of the Parish Council.

The Parish own two battery powered Speed Indicator Devices; one is based on the A350 at Longbridge Deverill, within the 40mph zone and the other  rotates through various locations on the Parish’s village roads.  Data is downloadable from both devices and can be fed to Wiltshire Police.   The SID deployment is managed entirely by volunteers.  If you would be interested in joining the team please get in touch with the Parish Clerk.  New volunteers would be most warmly welcomed after completion of online training.
